JM Slingshot SS Gag (5" Short Shank)
The JM SLINGSHOT SS GAG (Short Shank), has Jessi Mead’s patented swiveling headstall ring, which allows the cheek/shank to turn out away from the horses face without any pinch or gouging, or engaging of the curb chain. This action allows your horse to keep his continuous motion threw the barrel turn without stalling out during his turns. It also features a lifting action that applies pressure in an upward direction when pressure is applied to the reins, creating upward pressure on the horse’s mouth corners, instead of the bars, allowing the rider to lift the horses’ shoulders and nose easily. The short shank and precise curb chain placement on the jaw bones gives the rider leverage to ask for collection and stop easily.

JM Slingshot LS Gag (7" Long Shank)
The JM SLINGSHOT LS GAG (Long Shank), has Jessi Mead’s patented swiveling headstall ring, which allows the cheek/shank to turn out away from the horses face without any pinch or gouging, or engaging of the curb chain. The longer shank and precise curb chain placement on the jaw bones gives the rider plenty of leverage to ask for collection and stop easily on horses that need it or for children who are not very strong.

JM Slingshot Combo Gag
TThe SLINGSHOT COMBO GAG, has Jessi Mead’s patented swiveling headstall ring, which allows the cheek/shank to turn out away from the horse’s mouth without any pinch or gouging to the face, or engaging of the curb chain. This action allows your horse to keep his continuous motion threw the barrel turn without stalling out during his turns. This bit works on four precise control points, the nose, the bars, the mouth corners and specific trigger points on the jaw bones. The combo nose piece allows the rider to let the horse lean into the nose band lightly for security and extra guidance without any bit pressure on the mouth, but if the horse tries to push too hard into the noseband, the mouthpiece will engage and apply pressure to the bars, mouth corners, and the curb chain, giving the rider plenty of stopping power. This bit is very helpful when training young horses that still need continual rein pressure to stay on track.

Jessi, I have tried your new JM Pro Gag Bit Line and I am very happy to say they work great in the hands of Professional Barrel Racers, yet are forgiving enough for armature riders as well. I really like how they give you the ability to take hold of the horses face when you need to get a response, but release the horse as soon as you release your rein pressure. They don't have that hang time on the release of bit pressure like most Gag bits do. So the horse gets immediate release from the bit pressure, making the signal delivery precise and easy for the horse to understand. I also like how the, JM Pro Gag Bit, gives even horses who like to push into the bit, a soft light feel and quick response. The collection feature really works; you can get any horse to give at the poll with just the lightest amount of bit pressure. I put the JM Pro Gag Bit on a horse that was real heavy in the face and wouldn't turn her 1st barrel, which is kind of what you said it worked best for, and Lo and behold my Lil mare won her a check in it last week. I am very pleased with these bits and give my stamp of approval to them. They are truly a unique type of bit that really works; even at high speeds the horse stays light and responsive. And I recommend them to any barrel racer who wants to improve the feel and response of their horses.
